Haha... barely looks like him, but that's a shot from our beach trip today with some of his baby buddies and my mommy mates (only friend synonym that starts with an "m").
I don't know that I can recall everything different that is going on in the life of Victor ... the latest:
- He says "Mimi" (Isaac's mom) and "Yaya" (Veronica's mom) very well
- He can point to your nose
- He knows some animal noises: "moo" "baa" and "raahh" (used for lions, tigers and bears - oh, my!) and he does a pretty funny elephant that at the moment I can only explain as a raspberry without the tongue... just the lips.
- He signs and says book ... well, he says "buh" ... and a head-up for you, it's hard to write baby talk
- He eats almost anything, but his new addiction (since Goldfish are practically old hat now, is Nilla Wafers. I even caught him trading his shoes for some on the playground. Ha, just kidd

- ing, it must be getting late.
Pictured to the right (from left to right) is Isaac's aunt, Isaac's grandma, Isaac's dad, Isaac's brother, Isaac, Isaac's mom and Victor

We also had old friends visit from Spain and they brought new friends! We had a lot of fun going around town with them - including to Disney World! This was Victor's first trip and he found two things he liked a lot... beautiful princesses (oh, the flirt!) and the "It's a Small World" ride. I think Victor and Addison could have been on that ride all day! Thanks Ashley for getting us all in :o)

And, of course, on August 21st Victor turned one year old. On his actual birthday hurricane Fay was actually blowing through, but we had a blast at his party! He enjoyed his cake very patiently and delicately and has toys to last him for the rest of his toddlerhood. A Huge thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us - Victor had a blast and is very much enjoying all of his gifts :o)
Being musicians (Isaac and I) it has been very natural for us to encourage Victor's musical play. Well he has been loving it as we now (thanks to all those birthday presents) have set up a music corner in his room to play. Everyday he gets a little play time to beat on his drums or make fun noise with one of his other great toys - it's a great start! He also loves books! Every morning after he has his milk, he wants to read a book - often before he's done. It's really exciting to see him enjoy this as I know it will make a huge difference in his life. "Leaders are readers" as my dad used to say... I can't remember who he got that from...
Well, on to other artistic talents. Thanks to the inspiration of his "Titi Monika" and honorary "Titi Leslie" Victor has taken up photography. His first picture, "The Way I See It" is pictured below and was shot with a Sony Cybershot in natural lighting... haha, jk. He did take that picture though...

Next to Victor's shot is an attempt to get a picture enjoying another love of his, "wawa" with leslie. There is a fountain not too far from our house that is synched with classical music and lights and is quite a show. Victor wanted to check it out for himself!
This was supposed to be a quick, hold-over post until I had time for a real one... well, this is as real as it gets! If you have any pictures from Victor's birthday, please email them to us - we'd love to post a couple. :o) I don't know why this is underlined... but I can't undo it... so I leave you with our handsome explorer enjoying some pasta with turkey sausage and zucchini...
